HOW TO TEST THE ph level of the soap

Hey everyone, Laksh here from Projects by Laksh! Today, I’m showing you a super quick and easy way to test the pH level of your homemade soap. This is important because soap that’s too alkaline can really dry out your skin, and nobody wants that!

In the video, I’m just dipping a piece of soap into some litmus paper. If the litmus paper turns blue, the soap is alkaline. If it turns red, it’s acidic. But what we’re really hoping for is green, which means the soap has a neutral pH level, perfect for keeping your skin happy!

And that’s all there is to it! Testing your soap’s pH is a breeze. Of course, there are other things you can do to make sure your soap is gentle on your skin. Picking the right oils, using natural fragrances, and letting your soap cure for a while all make a big difference.

So, if you’re into making your own soap, definitely give this a try and keep an eye out for those other tips! Happy making!
